Today's good thing: Pakistan has a plan to keep people employed and help the environment during this pandemic. It's not dissimilar to what Prince Charles suggested for British people out of work during this pandemic. It's getting a lot of flak, and maybe that's because the idea is from Prince Charles, but we also need to ask ourselves if it's racial/class based as well. White people consider themselves "too good" for farm work, which is why we have undocumented non-white immigrants do it for us. Is what's being suggested really all that bad or does it just feel beneath middle class white people? It's a question worth pondering...
